Wowee - Mamma loves the NGV and their newest exhibition is awesome. The NEW and FREE Julian Opie: Studio For Kids exhibition definitely needs to go on your 'mamma must do' list!
The exhibition begins as soon as you walk into the NGV, with 13m-tall skyscrapers in the atrium, as well as virtual fish swimming in the Waterwall. As you make your way through to the children’s space you will be immersed into Julian Opie’s first major Australian exhibition with over 60 recognisable pieces on display. Mamma and little miss 3 loved the interacting images.
Head in the children’s exhibition where there is some great hands on fun creating your own felt faces and digital activities developed in collaboration with the artist himself. Children and adults can create their own faces using digital techniques and art.
Mamma says you may want to visit again. It’s free and here until February, so plenty of time.
Mamma's special mentions: The free exhibition is open to everyone. The outdoor space at the National Gallery is the PERFECT place to enjoy some lunch from the NGV Cafe and a little run around for the little people.
