play box, melbourne museum

Bright minds start early!

The museum is welcoming children aged 1-3 and their adults to attend early - before opening hours - for Play Box; a new program designed to encourage children to ‘wake up to play’, running 5 days per week.

The Play Box, full of fun and activities, will be located in a different area of the museum each season, ready for children to discover. Mamma loves the incredible sensory play stations by Incy Wincy Fingers! Children can explore and play for an hour before the rush of patrons at opening time. General museum entry is also included so you can stay on and enjoy everything else the museum has to offer after 10am! Awesome!

The program has kicked off with a familiar theme for the museum - dinosaurs, but will change periodically.

Mamma's special mention: While you’re at the museum, make sure you check out the Children’s Gallery - such a magical space, so perfect for little ones 5 and under!
