This is one of Mamma's all time fave places to visit with the kids in Melbourne. With two cafes, an organic grocery shop, a nursery, an upgraded playground, heaps of places to explore and chickens to visit - you’ll find it difficult to spend less than 3 hours exploring here.
It is the perfect spot to have a mothers group or a catch up - hang out at the Grocery Store Cafe for a quick bite and a coffee whilst the kids play in the sand pit and check out the chooks. The Merri Cafe has been given a spruce up and has a brand new menu and extra outdoor seating as well. After a coffee, take the kids for an explore of the gardens, nursery and playground areas - this really is a fantastic urban oasis!
Mamma's special mentions: Every Saturday the Makers & Flea Market runs from 9am-2pm in the market space next to the Organic Grocery. There is heaps of useful and beautiful handmade, vintage, up-cycled, eco-friendly and pre-loved goods here.
Oh… and the Terra Wonder Playspace has a ginormous millipede that you can climb through!
