Back Alley Bakes is Coburg North’s newest neighbour and this place sure gives Mamma all the feels. This husband and wife duo started sharing their love of sourdough bread during lockdown. Baking in their home and delivering to locals in and around Preston, Mamma knew she was onto a good thing.

Now a few years on and with a whole lot of determination and love these guys have themselves their own factory and shop!

With a selection of delicious bread, pastries, sandwiches and hot treats baked every day, Back Alley Bakes is the perfect start to your day.

The pork and fennel is one of Mamma’s favourites but let me assure you it’s not the only thing she leaves with. Try the morning buns, savoury Danishes a personal favourite, Nonna Maria’s ricotta cake. There are sandwiches made daily and filled with goodness, sweets and coffee that will have you smiling from ear to ear.
