Wow - this is some seriously good gelato! Fellow Northside Mum, Lilly Stuckings - formerly ‘Papa’- is head gelato maker at the new Gelato Papa store in Fairfield. Not only did she study the craft of gelato making among the greats in Italy, but she hails from a Sicilian family of gelato creators who have been making gelato for over 40 years! This is the real deal, friends!
Let’s talk about the flavours! Chocolate lovers will be thrilled with options like Nutella Crunch, Honeycomb Choc Chip, Picnic, Coconut Lamington and Jaffa! There are heaps of vegan options too which in no way lack in flavour, texture or deliciousness! (Mamma could barely believe there was no dairy involved!) If fruit is more your thing you can select from Passionfruit, Mango, Raspberry or Strawberry Cream!
There are also regular special flavours, kids sizes available, a selection of pe-made choc tops, milkshakes and thick shakes and take home tubs on offer!
Lastly Mamma must mention the GELATO CAKES!! This selection of incredible looking celebration cakes will get plenty of hits at Mamma’s place over summer! There’s a Violet Crumble, Gaytime, Lemon Meringue (complete with pretty gold foil decoration), Raspberry Ripple and VEGAN Bombe Alaska cakes! How impressed will everyone be when you rock up to an event with one of these babies?! (If it’s a hot day just remember to bring an esky or some ice packs when picking one of these up!)
