the library bakery, brunswick east

The Library Bakery is the latest bakery to open in Melbourne's North and Mamma says this is one you definitely need to try. Located on the iconic Lygon Street in Brunswick East, Serving up some seriously delicious baguettes, cakes and pastries with Korean and French inspiration, you’ll find it difficult to choose just one treat!

So, let us suggest a few…the Pistachio Custard perhaps? or how about the Kouign-amann…this cake is slowly baked until the sugar caramelizes and then pine nuts are added. Wow. Little Miss 9 loved all the flavours.

But Mamma’s favourite was the signature pastry, “the book” shaped like an open book it is smeared in peanut cream, crushed peanuts, salted caramel and layers of laminated pastry that make it look like pages of a book!
So cool.

The Library Bakery is only opened weekends so Mamma suggests getting up early and hot-footing it to the door because once everything is gone, it’s GONE!
