This is the most picturesque and unique mini golf experience we have ever had and an incredible family day out! The course is Australiana themed and set with a stunning bush backdrop (you will likely even spot REAL kangaroos watching on as you play). Each of the 18 holes comes with new tricks and challenges as well as its own native Australian animal sculpture. Many of these animals must be putted around or through to score! There are wombats, crows, kangaroos, a butterfly, bees, ants, snakes, a huge red back spider, an eagle and the course mascot Anna the Goanna!
After being sized up for clubs and selecting your favourite coloured ball, you’ll be given a ‘Play Putt And Learn Booklet’ before your game. This is full of Australian animal and plant facts, scoring tips and tricks, a course map and score card. It’s large and engaging, perfect for little golfers to follow along.
Goanna Golf is suitable for all ages and is the perfect family adventure! The holes are challenging enough for the adults and older kids with lots of fun tricks and talking points along the way. The littlest kids will be delighted by all the animals they’ll spot and will enjoy having a hit with their mini putter.
Mamma Special Mention:
After your game, be sure to head to The Grass Lands licensed cafe for a feast! There are indoor and outdoor seating options for dine-in, all of which overlook the golf course and its stunning natural surrounds.
Food options include burgers, fish and chips, pizzas, chicken parmas, salads, snacks like arancini and jalapeño poppers and a separate Goanna Kids Menu with all the faves. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options are available too (Mamma highly recommends the Veggie Burger!)
There is a bar with an extensive selection of beer including craft, boutique, tap and can. There’s also wine, spirits and cocktails as well as shakes, soft drinks and tea and coffee! Truly something for everyone.
