eltham library, eltham

One of Mamma’s favourite (and free!) things to do is hit up a local library. From curling up with a good book to settling in for story time, it’s such a special way to get in some quality time with the little ones. And Eltham Library offers the perfect setting to do just that.

With gorgeous interiors, a collection of classics and new titles and an array of activities to enjoy throughout the week, Eltham Library is a wonderful spot to let your kiddos’ imaginations soar.

The library hosts a variety of storytimes, including baby, toddler, family, and preschool storytime. Click here for the schedule!

What really stands out to Mamma about Eltham Library is how immersed it is in its community. On the third Wednesday of every month, the library offers a Family Storytime at 6:30pm, allowing working parents to engage in storytime with their children. The library also offers a German Storytime once a month for budding Germanophiles to practise their Deutsch.

Beyond the scores of bookshelves, there is a beautiful, contained children’s garden outside where little ones can enjoy the gorgeous, leafy surrounds for which Eltham is famous. There is also a selection of toys to enjoy to round out the visit.

So next time you’re in need of an outing with a good book, head to Eltham Library.
