bargoonga nganjin, north fitzroy library

Mamma doesn’t like to pick favourites, so let’s just say that this library is pretty special!

Bargoonga Nganjin means ‘Gather Everybody’ in Woiwurrung, the language of the Wurundjeri people, and what a great spot to gather! Updated in 2017, it’s modern and fresh with multi levels featuring indoor and outdoor reading and study areas. There’s a beautiful, large outdoor terrace area which is a perfect spot for noisy kids or for catching some rays while you read!

The junior area is neat and tidy and there’s a spacious separate room for small children’s board and picture books. This is where they hold rhyme time, story time and baby time.

Check here for Yarra Library events.

Book Week Costume Parade and story time Saturday August 24th. Dress as your favourite super hero or book character. 11am-12pm.

mamma special mention: Just Felafs is literally across the road!
