Play Nook, Northcote’s boutique play centre is now re-open for play! This place is like nothing Mamma has ever seen before! Inspired by the needs of their own 4 kiddos, (ranging in age from 3-8 years), the creators, Holly and Cam set out to develop the “fresh, friendly, clean space for families” that they felt the inner north was lacking. After 6 months of thoughtful, loving renovations conducted by a dedicated team, the existing play centre was completely reinvented with an end result that is modern, spacious and welcoming. The minimalist aesthetic had Mamma feeling nice and relaxed from the minute she arrived! The custom created mini caravan, sweetly named ‘Betsy’, large plywood play fort with glowing LED sensory blocks and ‘triple cubby’ with themed rooms (reading nook, nurse/doctor play space and foam brick building area) are such unique experiences.
The front of the centre is the perfect space for adults to sit and enjoy a Proud Mary coffee while overseeing their little ones play, while the back features an existing enclosed play space for bigger kids, complete with 4 slides, a basketball hoop and a flying fox. Whether your little one feels like having a quiet tea party, a relaxing hang in a garden pod or has energy to burn, there is a different space here for everyone to enjoy. You can also hold your own private functions here after hours! We can only imagine the fresh and exciting new concepts that Holly and Cam plan to implement into the space over the coming months and years!
