Walking Thomastown - a magical family friendly night time journey!

This September Thomastown comes magically alive!

Saturday September 2nd from 6pm-9pm take a walk from Main Street Recreation Reserve to Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum and Heritage Garden, and see the night light up with neon artwork and digital projections along the Darebin Creek Trail. There will be a range of live performers, including Neon Ngargee for an immersive Indigenous experience, and workshops for youth aged 12 – 25 in the weeks leading up to the event enabling local kids the opportunity to show off their artistic flair with their community!

Step into a world of enchantment and wonder as THREE extraordinary magicians take the stage at Walking Thomastown. Jo Clyne, a magician and historian, weaves the tales of immigration and history into her mesmerizing act. Nick Nickolas, the master of magic and comedy, promises to leave you in awe, showcasing his sleight of hand and comedic brilliance. And don't miss Anthony De Masi, the magician to the stars, who has astounded and delighted audiences worldwide, even setting a Guinness World Record!

The walk spans 1.6km and includes five distinct locations with various performances. This includes a mini carnival at the Westgarthtown Historic Precinct featuring magic shows, live music at Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum and Heritage Garden, as well as youth performances and community dances at Thomas Street Recreation Reserve and Playground.
