Whittlesea Community Festival March 17

On Sunday March 17 the City of Whittlesea’s Community Festival returns, and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever!

This FREE family friendly festival has something for everyone - performances, market stalls, food trucks, cultural activities, pet expo and more!

“Highlights of the day include the crowd-favourite Dream Team performance on the main stage, numerous cultural performances and the ‘World Kitchen’ showcasing the talents of five local cooks providing delicious meals to the community.

The festival offers free theatre shows at Plenty Valley Arts and Convention Centre. These include the ‘A Circus Sensation’ show by ZAP CIRCUS featuring fire eating, hula hooping, acrobatics, comedy and freakshow stunts and an interactive show ‘Someone in the dark’ by award winning Black Hole Theatre.

Families can enjoy many free activities, including face painting, art and craft, roving entertainers, and the chance to get up and close with our emergency service heroes.

For the young hearts, the Youth Zone offers a buzzing hub for ages 12-25 with a rock-climbing wall and performances by local young musicians and artists.

The much-loved Pet Expo will make a return, promising adorable moments and valuable pet care tips. Meanwhile, the Ageing Well Zone guarantees entertainment with free activities including mini golf, Ten Pin Bowling, Carpet Bowls, Croquet, and more.

Sustainability also takes centre stage in 2024 as we bid farewell to single-use plastics, and introduce water stations for refilling your bottle, contributing to a greener celebration.”

Come join the fun on Sunday 17 March 2024 at the Civic Centre’s lawns in South Morang for a day of family festivities!
