We all know how Mamma loves a good farmers market and Carlton Farmers Market is no exception. This place is super cute. Not only is it nestled in between the gorgeous streets of Carlton North, the people are lovely and there is such a chilled vibe in the air.
When Mamma visits, we pick up a delicious mushroom quiche from the guys at City Larder and some juicy oranges from The Orange Lady. The market is accredited by Victorian Farmers' Market Association which means there is only high quality produce on offer here.
The market is held at Carlton North Primary School. There is a playground for kids to run around, spots to settle in and grab a bite to eat, while you check out some of the local entertainment playing acoustic tunes throughout the morning.
Melbourne Farmers Markets supports this market and are responsible for other favourite north side markets such as Collingwood Children's Farm, Coburg Farmers Markets, Eltham Community Craft and Produce Market
Mamma's special mention: Curtain Square is only a block away and a great space to kick the footy, have a picnic or a play on the playground.
