carlton farmers market, carlton

We all know how Mamma loves a good farmers market, especially a weekly one, and Carlton Farmers Market is no exception. This place is super cute. Not only is it nestled in between the gorgeous streets of Carlton North, it’s a great place to sit and enjoy some of the produce, and stock up for the weekly shop.

When Mamma visits, we love the mix of fresh food, organic fruit and veggies for the grocery shop and the ready-to-eat, local produce. We love stocking up on locally grown food, and then sitting down for a coffee and some hot food.

With a more recent visit, we grabbed fresh juice, coffee, Pie Thief pies, and some pastries.

The market is held at Carlton North Primary School. There is a playground for kids to run around, spots to settle in and grab a bite to eat, while you check out some of the local entertainment playing acoustic tunes throughout the morning.

Melbourne Farmers Markets supports this market and are responsible for other favourite north side markets such as Collingwood Children's Farm, Coburg Farmers Markets, Eltham Community Craft and Produce Market.
