Woodlands Park is the perfect little hideaway amongst the beautiful homes and businesses of Essendon. Nestled behind Bulla Road - it's a great open space with a playground, lush green grass and old beautiful trees. There is even a big pond complete with a family of ducks. Quack!
The playground has a boat shaped structure for younger kids under shade sails with two small slides, walkway, steps, shop front, climber, ladder and abacus. Great!
There is also a bigger structure for older kids with a wave slide, double sided climbing wall, walkway, fireman's pole, climber, hanging disks, unusual monkey bars, four swings and a family sized seesaw!
Woodlands Park House is a small house located at the park and can be used for events such as, small family reunions, children's birthday parties and playgroups - what a great idea!
Just a reminder - do not feed the ducks. They are already well looked after and cared for.
Mamma's special mention: Demazzi Stone and Grill is literally a 4 minute walk and worth checking out. There is a bike path, playground and lake. Essendon Traffic School is nearby so have some double fun one Saturday and book a session in.
