thornbury picture house, thornbury

Mamma loves independent cinema and this theatre is a real treat! The building was originally a service station built in 1912. Its reinvention into a movie theatre makes for a fun, quirky venue with a great outdoor area to sit and have a coffee or a drink before or after your film. (Yes they have a fully licensed bar including a cocktail list AND now a coffee machine too!) There is also a great little selection of Italian bar snacks including meatballs and polenta chips.

The films offered are the perfect mix of new releases, documentaries, classics and children’s movies. There are weekly ‘Cry Baby’ sessions as well.

mamma special mention: Keep it in the neighbourhood… stop off at Welcome to Thornbury after your film!
