moon dog world, preston

Moon Dog World... what can mamma say?! There is truly something here for everyone. When you first arrive (crossing a bridge over a lagoon, leading to a waterfall where you can toss in a coin and make a wish!) overwhelmed by its size - it fits up to 725 people - you may wonder where you should head to first! There are stripy umbrellas and sun lounges surrounding the lagoon with a water fountain feature in the middle, a seperate gated area with a PLAYGROUND for the kids (it’s true!!), a sports bar playing whichever game is on, there’s also a hidden pinball alley and a hidden tiki bar, astro turfed booth sections perfect for eating with kids and upstairs patio options overlooking it all! Nowhere seems to be off limits!

The menu has a great mix of substantial meals like burgers & rolls, charcoal chicken and ribs and corn dogs and also sharing plates of delicious, tasty morsels (mamma loved the chilli sesame fried eggplant and buffalo cauliflower wings with pickles!) There’s a seperate kids menu with lots of favourites and all dietary requirements can be accommodated.

On top of all of this there’s a 72-tap equipped bar (Mamma couldn’t help but notice Aperol Spritz on tap!) delicious classic and in house cocktails and the brewery is capable of brewing 10 million litres of beer per year! Yes. 10 million!

Really guys, just check it out! Go in the afternoon with the kids or get a babysitter and head out with friends, there are so many different sections that you’ll feel like you’ve bar hopped for hours!

Mamma special mention: Mamma can’t really think what else you might possibly need in terms of fun while you’re in the area but you could always swing past Preston Market to get some groceries on the way home!
