cactus country, strathmerton

Want to take the kids to do something a bit different these school holidays? How about a road trip to Australia’s largest cactus garden? This Mexican themed, 12 acre garden is super unique and very cool!

After getting your tickets, you’re free to explore the huge expanse at your leisure (with a drink in hand if you like). There are several different coloured trails to wander with lots of interesting little things to discover on each. Cacti are such unique plants and you’ll love exploring all the different shapes and sizes that these “Living Sculptures” come in. The digital paths map lists the different species of plants growing on each trail.

After all that exploring there is a spacious cafe and bar you can head to for Nachos, Mexican soft drinks, cactus cake and ice-cream - there’s also Mexican beer and Margaritas. Choose to sit indoors or outside and take in the view.
