Fitzroy Pool is such an iconic Melbourne spot and the toddler pool is set up just perfectly for a family swim and barbeque! Firstly, it’s fenced off in its own section, with a childproof gate, there is also a large sitting area nestled under several shady trees, overlooking the toddler pool. The toddler pool, which is separated into two sections - one more shallow that the other - is big and completely shade covered. There are rinse showers, small, dry change rooms and a barbeque all within this fenced off area.
It’s also worth a dip in the 50 metre outdoor pool which, while much cooler in temperature, has an ‘aqua play’ area for children in the far right lane section. It’s also a great spot to swim some laps or catch some rays and people watch in the famous, yellow spectator stands!
There is also a gym, spa and sauna and the centre has access facilities to make it all abilities and pram accessible.
Mamma's special mention: Hot tip! There is a small, fenced playground perfect for little ones right next door! For the more adventurous, you are only 5 minutes from Fitzroy Adventure Playground!
